In the quest to create a more equitable future we must work together with all levels of government in order to achieve the society we want to live in. Sometimes, we have ideas that aren’t fully formed or ready to be turned into legislation; however, we’d like to put them on record and introduce them to the conversation. Check out some of my “equitable thoughts,” and together I look forward to making them equitable realities.

Swearing In Ceremony Photos
On Friday, December 8th 2023, Maurice Brown was sworn in as the Legislator for District 15 of Onondaga County by Syracuse City Court Judge Shadia Tadros. Mo never got around to sending the Photos. However, with the help of our friends, here they are.

No Taxpayer $ on a Lawsuit
On February 6th, 2024, Onondaga County Legislators had to decide whether to spend $100,000 on a lawsuit against the state legislature's decision to move all elections to even years. There's been a lot of talk about whether this change in election timing is good or bad, but our decision was largely focused on the lawsuit itself.

Mo Brown: No To an Aquarium Project!
I want to be as clear as possible in my opposition to the pending aquarium project. This is a horrendous decision that will have negative consequences for generations to come. I do not agree with spending over 100 million dollars for an Aquarium.
